How to Adopt a Cat at meowfest 2022

SAME DAY ADOPTION! TAKE YOUR NEW FURRY FRIEND HOME with you FROM MEOWFEST 2022.

meowfest attendees are welcome to apply for same-day adoption, which means you could be bringing a brand new furry friend home on August 20th, and giving an animal in need a second chance.

Those interested in applying should visit lapsbc.ca to view all of the adoptable cats. Please note that not every cat listed on the website is available for same day adoption at meowfest. The cats available will have a note starting August 14th in their bio stating “I am available exclusively for in person, same day adoption to attendees of the August 20th meowfest Event. If you are interested on adopting me during the late afternoon of August 20th from the Langley Animal Protection Society booth at meowfest, please apply at the LAPS Booth. I can’t wait to meet you! If you still need to purchase your tickets to meet me, you can do so at meowfest.com”

Those interested in adopting should consider bringing a carrier if possible, and should avoid public transit for the drive home to ensure their new cat home gets home as safely as possible.

If you are selected as a LAPS cat’s purrfect furever family, you will receive a phone call on August 20th inviting you to return at a specified time to complete the adoption paperwork and payment. Please note that LAPS adoptions require about 20 minutes to complete.
